Mission
BayersnSat is a technology demonstrator small satellite being
developed by the Institute of Astronautics of the Technische
Universität München. The satellite
is basically a 45cm x 45cm x 45cm cube weighting around 50kg.
The mission goal is the
demonstration of new technology: telepresence, highly efficient
solar cells (Penta-Junction, 34% efficiency), on-board high
performance computing (a silicon-on-insulator computer and
a parallel processor architecture), high-resolution colour
video camera, as well as a number of low-cost systems that
will provide desirable cost/performance ratio.

Case Study
Active Space Technologies is
contributing to the development of the BayernSat, having already
performed the preliminary system level thermal design, modeling
and analysis of the satellite.
