Mission
ExoMars is an Aurora Flagship mission. Its aim is to further characterise the biological environment on Mars in preparation for robotic missions and then human exploration. Data from the mission will also provide invaluable input for broader studies of exobiology - the search for life on other planets.

The Heat Flow and Physical Properties Package( HP³) consists of three payload elements and one carrier system designed for a depth resolved measurement of the key physical properties of the Martian regolith up to a depth of 5 metres.

Case Study
Active Space Technologies was responsible for the definition of requirements and thermal architecture of HP3 instrument developed by DLR, which will be launched onboard the rover.
