Parabolic flights: experiencing microgravity

The 39th European Space Agency Parabolic Flight Campaign will take place from the airport Bordeaux-Mérignac from 21st to 24th March 2005. Onboard these flights, twelve experiments proposed by research teams from different countries and areas of expertise, will be conducted. In particular, one of the physiological experiments will aim to a better understanding of the human perception of long body axis under microgravity conditions and will have the participation of Ricardo Patrício from Active Space Technologies. The series of tests in this experiment will help to understand problems related to absence of microgravity experienced by astronauts and may be interpreted not only as a scientific medical study but also as an astronaut preparation training.
